The rhythmic conception of this composition is very much influenced by Dafnis Prieto (who is featured on this tune) and other Cuban artists. For the harmonic and melodic content, I pulled from across my array of influences, ranging from straight ahead jazz artists like Lee Morgan and Wayne Shorter, to folkloric Cuban music, to the music of urban Greece, where my family is from.
